Jana Samuelson, Director and Teacher

• Washington State University, Bachelor of Arts in Human Development, minor in Psychology
• Several years experience in Early Childhood Education including various preschool programs
• Interned within the national Head Start program
• Currently serve as Children’s Ministry Coordinator at Shoreline Covenant Church, working with children of all ages and their families. 

Most importantly, I am the mom of three young boys that have taught me a great deal about kids. I have lived in Washington all of my life, mainly in the Olympia area.  I met my husband in high school and we were married in 1996.  In 2003, after having our first son, my husband was relocated to a company in Mountlake Terrace.  We found Shoreline Covenant to be our new home.  Since we have lived here we have added two more sons to our family and many new friends. We believe that SCC is a great place to raise our boys and serve the Lord!

Katie Montzingo, Teacher

Hi, my name is Katie Montzingo.  I have been on staff here at Shoreline Covenant Preschool since the fall of 1993. My husband  Doug and I have 3 amazing children and 5 incredible grandkids.  We have been part of the Shoreline Covenant Church for 30 years.  We have been blessed with many opportunities to serve our Lord here, and one of the best for me has been my time in the classroom at preschool.

I am excited and delighted with the privilege of walking through the first few years of school experience with the little ones entrusted to my care.  It never fails to amaze me what wonder and desire for learning my students bring to our room each day.  Teaching is a gift from God and I prize it with all my heart.

Each new year brings me such joy with the special young people God places in my life.  I look forward to knowing and loving each and every one. I strive to create an atmosphere that invites your little ones to reach out and seek learning in a fun and experiential way.  With God’s help they will be ready to move on in their future school journey with confidence and excitement.
